General Care

  • Shake out the fursuit after each use to loosen the fur and let it air out.

  • Always allow the suit to dry completely before storing.

  • Avoid heat sources: never place the suit near radiators, heaters, hair dryers, or direct sunlight, as synthetic fur can melt or deform.

Spot Cleaning

  • Use cold or lukewarm water with mild soap or a neutral cleaner.

  • Gently clean the area using a microfiber cloth or soft sponge.

  • Do not scrub aggressively to prevent matting.

  • Rinse out any soap residue and lightly brush the fur afterwards.

Machine Washing (Body Suit – only if safe for your construction)

  • Use cold water on a gentle cycle with low spin.

  • Add 1–2 bath towels to cushion the suit.

  • Never use bleach, fabric softener, or harsh chemicals.

Hand Washing (Head, Paws, Tail)

  • Fill a tub or basin with lukewarm water and mild detergent.

  • Submerge and gently press the item—do not twist or wring.

  • Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

  • For heads with electronics (fans, LEDs), avoid getting those parts wet.

Drying

  • Press out excess water by hand; do not wring.

  • Lay flat on a towel or hang on a wide hanger to dry in a well-ventilated area.

  • Brush the fur occasionally during drying to maintain its shape.

  • Do not use a dryer or any heat source.

Odor Control

  • Allow the suit to fully air out after each wear.

  • If needed, use a water-based, alcohol-free fabric refresher.

  • For interior lining, use a mild, foaming disinfectant spray.

Brushing

  • Use a wide-tooth comb or a pet slicker brush.

  • Always brush in the direction of the fur.

  • Be extra gentle when brushing while the fur is damp.

Storage

  • Store in a cool, dry place.

  • Do not compress the suit in bags; use a sturdy hanger or storage box.

  • Keep away from direct sunlight and prolonged heat exposure.
